Foreigner with Finnish wife, building a house in Finland. Initially we didn’t know a thing about building and there is not much information available in English how to manage it in Finland. This project is our long-term dream coming true yet it is very complex. Especially if you really want to understand how your money is spent. This blog is a sort of diary where we will share our experiences with everyone. And yes, it will all be written in non-native English ;) mixed with some Finnish too.

Hei,
ReplyDeletehienon värinen talo! Onko lopullinen väri vai pohjamaali? Joka tapauksessa piristävän erilainen verrattuna muihin puutaloihin mitä täällä blogistaniassakin näkee. :) Tumma väri istuu yleensä luontoonkin kauniimmin.
I am impressed that it goes that fast,
ReplyDeleteThe colour will change somewhat as it has been painted once and we'll paint it again next May. The color should look and bit like this:

Although on the paper sample it looks somewhat different than on the screen, with a bit more brown.
It is amazing finally to see our new home taking it's shape in real. We have planned so much and so long on paper that seeing actual walls growing in front of the eyes gives you a feeling of jumping and waving hands... pinch me
I need a Kastelli house or similar built in S W France near Agen. Is Sip the builder looking for a job in France?
ReplyDeleteHi John, I am not really a builder myself but our house comes Lapponia House. Lapponia House has own representative office in France. See http://www.lapponiahouse.com/fi/myynti/myyjat/
ReplyDeleteTheir quality of wood and painting seems really good.
